These have never been on my radar, but it occurred to me as I was falling asleep that it’s a modern stick shift 4x4 that my kids could fit in, that I could actually afford. You know these things pretty well, if I decide to go look at it, what should I look for? Somewhere in the recesses of my brain is the idea that the frames on these rust really badly, but I don’t know if that’s just something I made up.

Timing belt maintenance, radiator supports love to rust to pieces. I also had lots of issues in mine that stemmed from a bad negative battery cable.

The older Nissan pickups had frame rust issues. Especially up by the front wheels. These were pretty sorted. At 100k the timing belt needs immediate attention though. I miss mine a lot.
